Beautiful Roselle Hibiscus Seeds, Hibiscus sabdariffa
The beautiful red calyxes are used to make floral tangy teas, sauces, syrups, smoothies, jams, pickles, wines, juices, and more. The flavor is somewhat similar to cranberries. The large leaves can be eaten fresh in salads, cooked like spinach, or used in soups.
The Roselle Hibiscus are also called Burmese Chin Baung, Jamaican Sorrel, Sour Leaf Sorrel, Red Jamaica Rosella
These plants grow very large, quickly, 3-5 feet. Space plants accordingly.
Growing instructions:
Sow seeds 1/4" , germination in 7-14 days at in temperatures between 75-85°F Transplant after last frost: Once the risk of frost has passed, transplant seedlings to their permanent location in the garden.
Full sun, will tolerate some shade
36-60 in. tall: These plants can grow to a height of 36-60 inches, providing a striking addition to your garden landscape.
