Want to attract bees and butterflies to your garden, then you need Blue Borage . Borage has some good culinary and medicinal uses, but the main reason to plant borage seeds in your garden is for a pollinator. The hairy stems and bright blue flowers attract a variety of pollinating insects like butterflies and honeybees that will also pollinate the other herbs in your garden, making everything more productive.
Young leaves may be used in salads and the blossoms have a sweet cucumber like flavor and are a nice addition as garnish or to add to drinks.
Minimum 50 seeds
Planting Instructions: Plant after last frost in full sun to part shade. Plant seeds1/4"-1/2" deep. Does well in most soil types. Frequently reseeds itself.
WARNING: The plant contains small amounts of pyrrolizidine alkaloids. These may cause liver damage and cancer when this plant is a major part of your diet. Borage is toxic to dogs, cats, and horses.
