The history of these seeds is quite fascinating. They were discovered in a pitch sealed clay pot in the four corners region, near Mesa Verde. They grow a large vine and produce a large amount of pods. Beans are usually eaten dried. While they are kind of similar to a Pinto bean; their taste and texture are sooo much better. They also have much less effect on gastro issues 🤣.
Price is for Minimum 20 seeds
Planting Instructions: Not cold hardy, direct sow after last frost date.
For best germination, soak seeds a few hours before sowing. Plant in full sun approx. 6" apart. These are a pole type bean and do need trellis for support. These are best as a dry bean.
